Development Goals

Our endeavor to achieve sustainability*

Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 What does it mean* Our answer**
No poverty (SDG #1) End extreme poverty in all forms Job for the local communities + descent salaries + improved living conditions + participation to financial success
Good health and well-being (#3) Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages Water decontamination, electricity supply, medical support; reduce air, water, soil pollutions
Clean water and sanitation (#6) Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all Mining with minute water usage, no contaminated tailings ponds, no hazardous chemicals
Decent work and economic growth (#8) Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all Full time long term jobs for local communities at a decent pay and good working conditions
Industry innovation and infrastructure (#9) Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation Use of novel technology for metal extraction; become the industry reference
Reduce inequalities (#10) Reduce inequalities within and among countries Make the poor less poor and give them the mean to become richer by providing opportunities and flexibility
Responsible consumption and production (#12) Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns Recover nearly every metals (92% to 98%) – higher efficiency - recycling
Life on land (#15) Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forest, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss Clean, near metal and chemical free tailings that can be used for agriculture or reforestation after mine closure; recycle polluting resources
Peace, justice and strong institutions (#16) Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels No gender discrimination, compliance with employment laws, collaboration with local communities

Our endeavor to achieve sustainability (ESG-Principles)

Drivers for change* What does it mean* How we promote ESG Principles
Climate change & sustainability
Sustainable management of water, biodiversity and climate, impact on global warming and carbon footprint. Recycling of existing resources Our mining solutions don’t use water or minute amount which is recycled. Leaves environmentally stable materials, and minimize environmental impact in an economical way. We recycle and valorize existing polluting resources and leave a cleaner environment.
Intensify rate of technological change
Accelerate transformation of processes and operations Our solutions are novel technologies developed to answer environmental concerns with positive impact on the whole metal extraction process (cheap, clean, efficient, sustainable) and/or replace or improve existing processes.
Higher demand for fairness, human rights, consumer protection, animal welfare
Equitable distribution of benefits, costs and risks, secure working conditions (strict health, safety, job security, no gender discrimination) “If we make money, they make money” on top of decent wage, decent living conditions on site and at home, gender and origin diversity, decontaminate polluted biotopes and sites (mines, coal ash landfills, water, air).
Corporate Governance:
Management structure, employee relations, executive compensation, employee compensation
Disclosure of executive pay, equitable wages & benefits without gender discrimination Value on contribution and promotion of ESG Principles. ESG audits are available to investors and stakeholders. Internal processes are designed to ensure ESG Principles are complied with across the entire organization.
